
For 30 years ITSB has engineered, installed and upgraded more of these separation vessels across Malaysian oil & gas than anyone in this market. The threat to that installed base is not old technology — it is copy elements, sold against a nameplate part number, swapped into vessels that were engineered around genuine media. A vessel is a system: the element is the part that decides whether the system still performs.
Stated efficiency, not nominal ratings. Genuine media grades are Beta-rated to 5,000 — 99.98% efficiency at the stated particle size. Nominal ratings on copy elements are set arbitrarily by the manufacturer and are not comparable between suppliers .
Locked Pore Structure™ media. Micro- and nano-fibers cross-linked so the pore structure cannot shift under differential pressure — the property that holds efficiency through real operating life, not just on day one .
Positive O-ring sealing. Coreless elements seal onto their support core; there is no cap-and-spring path for fluid to bypass the media .
Matched media chemistry. Media grade is selected against your fluid — amine, glycol, condensate, produced water — from a validated range; the wrong polymer blinds off early or sheds into the process .

Foaming returns, exchangers foul, change-outs accelerate — the failure modes genuine media was engineered out of come back quietly, as operating cost.
A copy quoting the same micron number on a nominal basis is not making the same claim as a Beta 5000 stated-efficiency rating . The paperwork looks equal; the fluid quality is not.
Vessel sizing, drainage design and media grade were engineered together. Swap the element and the performance basis — and the in-region engineering support behind it — no longer applies.
